Did You Know You Can Ski For Free in Lake Tahoe?!

That's right, you can ski for free in Lake Tahoe with a purchase of a Tahoe license plate. Here's how...

The new non-profit Tahoe Fund has partnered with 9 Lake Tahoe area ski resorts in California and Nevada to offer a free lift ticket with a purchase of a Tahoe license plate.

The sale of the license plate will help fund for lakefront parks, bike trails, interpretive programs and other tangible projects that will help enhance the Lake Tahoe experience for residents and visitors.

The price for a newly-issued Tahoe plates are $50 in California and $61 in Nevada. The cost for the plates are much less than what the resorts will charge for a lift ticket. So why not support the cause and get to ski for free?

Participating ski resorts are Heavenly Ski Resort, Squaw Valley USA, Northstar-at-Tahoe, Kirkwood, Alpine Meadows, Homewood, Sugar Bowl, Tahoe Donner and Tahoe Cross Country.
